How many transformers do I need?
Each Thermorail 12V transformer can power multiple rails up to 60 watts. To work out the amount of transformers you need, simply add up the total power (W) of your rails. If it's over 60 watts you'll need more than one transformer.
For example, the 7085 has an output of 17W and you'll need just one transformer for up to 3 rails. If you're installing 4 - 6 of the 17W rails you'll need 2 transformers (total power exceeds 60W) and if you've got 7 - 10 of them on the same circuit you'll need 3 transformers.
